Ed's "Frontier" Jerky Recipe




1 tsp salt

2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce

2 Tbsp Liquid Smoke

1/4 tsp pepper

1 tsp garlic pepper

1 lb lean meat, thinly sliced

(3/16" - 1/4" thick)


In a small bowl, combine all ingredients except meat. Dip meat in mixture and place in a covered glass dish. Marinate for 6 to 12 hours in refrigerator, stirring occasionally but keep bowl tightly covered when not stirring.

Place meat in a single layer on a clean, flat-surfaced pan. Place in oven and keep at a constant temperature of 100°F to 120°F for 6 to 8 hours. Increase temperature to 140°F to 160°F for 2 to 3 hours or until meat is dry to the touch.
